Akanami

Akanami means 'Red Wave' in japaneese

Backup weapons are affected by dexterity in all aspects except charging

Backup weapons cannot be modded however they posses unique abilities:

Primary

• Charges up a powerful vertical slash, direction of the slash can be manipulated through leaning

Alternative Charged Attack:²⁾

• Overhead Slash: Dash and 0.25x increased headshot multiplier, in addition to all the standard charged attack bonuses.

Secondary

• Deflect: Deflect incoming bullets and non-impact projectiles, area of effect stretches from middle of the thigh to slightly over the head when standing straight
• Discharge: Blocking damage within 0.25s of activation causes 2s Stun 5m in front of you, 15s cooldown (Coming soon)

When deflecting you receive 25% of the bullet's direct damage and no bullet debuffs (and no t-lock / CB explosion), deflected bullets fly towards your crosshair dealing 50% reduced damage.

Deflecting bullets consumes the aux equal to 25% of the bullet's direct damage, can only deflect 50% of pellets³⁾

Quick-melee

• Slash: Horizontal slash, direction of the slash can be manipulated through leaning

Passive

• Can cut enemy nano-wires causing 2s stun and can knockdown if the enemy is airborne.

Combo ⁴⁾

• For each attack that landed with the weapon equipped the next heavy attack charges 20% faster and quick-melee dash range increased by 20%, a combo point fades every 5s (since last hit)
