Core

The Core is a compact, neurocybernetic device implanted deep within the cranium of each Shell, intricately connected to its central nervous system and the source of their enhanced capabilities. Developed by Arika Biotech, the Core represents the pinnacle of their research into the integration of biological and synthetic augmentation, as well as temporal manipulation.

  • Adrenaline charging: As the Shell engages in combat, performs extreme physical activity, or experiences heightened stress, the Core charges by absorbing surges of adrenaline and kinetic energy.
  • Temporal distortion: Once fully charged, the Core can release a burst of temporal energy, creating a localized distortion field. This field allows the Shell to perceive and react to events at an accelerated rate, slowing the perception of time for everything within an unobstructed line of sight. Notably, Shells experience a lesser degree of temporal deceleration compared to surrounding entities, effectively enhancing their reflexes and precision.
  • Neural safeguards: Built-in neural safeguards protect the Shell from potential adverse effects of temporal distortion, such as disorientation or neural overload. These safeguards ensure the Shell remains functional and effective during and after the temporal pulse.

Core requires 100 core charge to activate, by default core lasts 5s

When activating core shell gains 1s debuff and knockdown immunity

Default core keybind is alt

In gameplay core slows down everything within unobstructed omnidirectional line of sight, it additionaly chains off of affected players, and so on.

Time Dialation Values:

  • Shells with inactive core: 60% of real time
  • Shells with active core: 70-100% 1)
  • Temporal Suspension: 100%
  • TD Bullets in active core: 100%
  • Everything else: 20%

Core can be regenerated passively at a rate of 0.5 charge per second, as well as through dealing damage at a rate of 2.5% of damage converted to core charge (By default)

Core generation from damage is quadrupled during maneuvers2)
